Community Center: Inclusive Play for All Abilities
For a local community center, we created a custom indoor play area designed with inclusivity and accessibility as top priorities. The installation included gentle slides at multiple heights, adaptive climbing walls with wide handholds, sensory play zones featuring varied textures, lights, and sounds, and soft landing surfaces throughout. Our design specifically accommodated children of all abilities, including those with mobility or sensory challenges, ensuring every child could explore, play, and socialize together. Since opening, the play area has significantly fostered community engagement, becoming a safe haven where families gather regularly. Parents praised the thoughtful, inclusive design, and the community center reported increased membership and event participation. This project reinforced the community’s strong commitment to child development and accessible recreation.
